Six Steps to Multiplication, Part II

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

Do you care about the spiritual condition of your neighborhood or city? Do you care if your nation is a nation that is pursuing righteousness or unrighteousness? The disciples told Jesus to send the desperate crowds away. His response is a calling and a mandate that we must obey if we hope to see His ministry multiplied through our lives.

“You give them something to eat.” Mark 6:37

Six Steps to Multiplication

Friday, May 11th, 2012

The desire of the Father is to take you and me and break us and multiply us to minister to others. That is the economy of the kingdom. The first step to multiplying the ministry of Messiah Jesus through our lives is compassion. Compassion brings us into a place of divine intervention where God can advance His kingdom through our lives. You will never minister consistently to others without compassion.

Religion of Convenience, Part III

Sunday, April 29th, 2012

In many churches and bible colleges today, biblical words are being removed from our vocabulary and understanding of God. Words like repentance, hell, and the wrath of God. The word sin is replaced with words like mistake and error. The call to repent is being replaced with a plea to “receive Jesus.” Men and women of God must rise up and confront this religion of convenience, but we must also let the Word of God confront this mindset in any place it has reign in our own hearts. Are you willing?

Religion of Convenience, Part II

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

Out of fear for his own kingdom, king Jeroboam, whose name means, ‘he pleads the cause of the people,’ created a religion of convenience that brought Israel into grave sin. Rather than allowing the people to make the long journey to Jerusalem to offer their sacrifices rightly, he set up golden calves in Bethel and Dan. He also established priests outside of the Levites of anyone who desired to be a priest and even established a “feast” for offerings which the Scripture says he devised from his own heart. (1 Kings 12:25-33)

What “conveniences” might be drawing your heart away from the true ways of God’s kingdom?

Religion of Convenience

Sunday, April 15th, 2012

In second Timothy, Paul warns of a time that is coming when many in the church will gather to themselves “teachers to suit their own passions” and “turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” This “religion of convenience” is running rampant in much of the Western church today, and its subtleties can ensnare any one of us who are not diligent to seek the Father and the truth in Messiah Jesus.

Jonah, Part IV

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

We must be aware of the eternal gravity of the message we communicate. This is life and death and we cannot speak a compromised message. When the church rises up with a love for the Lord and a love for the city, the Truth is told and hearts are changed.

Are we preaching the Twinkie Gospel or Truth?

“When the people heard this they were cut to the heart…” Acts 2:37

Jonah, Part III

Monday, March 26th, 2012

The anatomy of a move of God involves being moved by the plight of our city. God desires to partner with us so that breakthrough can come to the place where we live and the revelation of how God sees our city will drive us to a place of prayer.

“Come now therefore and I will send you.”

The Resurrection of a Promise

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

Through perseverance precious promises are obtained. Hebrews 6:10-19 “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”
