In Joshua, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant had to step into the river by faith until they saw the waters part. Often times, God gives us a word, and we get in the river at flood stage and the stream is still flowing. In the same way, when we pray, we don’t always see what’s happening in the heavenly realms. Daniel is told that his prayer was heard from the first day he humbled himself, but he had to remain faithful 21 days to see the breakthrough.
